Why Does Grief Remain So Heavy?

Sometimes grief remains long after we expect it to.

Time passes. Life continues. Yet the sorrow remains.

It's not always sharp — but it's heavy.

Dense and ever-present, now woven into the body and daily life.

This kind of long-held grief often emerges from too much loss, too close together — deaths, caregiving, trauma, disappointments, ruptures, lost futures, major life changes, and the cumulative weight of carrying more than any one person should have to carry alone.

Many women learn to function while holding this sorrow.

Responsibilities remain. Others rely on them. Life asks them to keep going.

Outwardly, they may appear capable and resilient.

Yet beneath the surface, grief remains present.

Over time, many women begin wondering whether they will ever feel fully alive again, or even what life is asking of them now that so much has been lost or changed.

Workshop Details

Sorrow & Aliveness is a live online workshop exploring why some forms of grief remain with us for so long and what it means to live alongside sorrow without losing our connection to life.

Together, we explore long-standing grief, the coexistence of sorrow and aliveness, and a different relationship with grief that moves beyond fixing, overcoming, or leaving it behind.

Come exactly as you are.
